Before you host your Musingo Bingo party, make sure you have the following:

  • Access to Youtube or a Spotify Premium account ✔
  • Laptop or desktop ✔
  • Chrome, Internet Explorer or Firefox ✔
  • Zoom account ✔

Welcome to your Musingo Bingo party, we hope you find this set-up guide useful. There are also videos on our Youtube page, as well as a wizard to walk you through each steps. Lastly, if you have any questions, please contact us at hello@musingobingo.com and we can answer any questions.

BEFORE YOUR PARTY

CREATE YOUR ACCOUNT

  1. Go to the log-in page and enter your details HERE
  2. Choose your Musingo level
  3. A Musingo game is considered played once 6 or more songs are played, any unused games will be available for your next party.
  4. All hosts have a free test game to try out before their party

CREATE YOUR PLAYLIST

  1. Open your Spotify Premium account or Youtube account
  2. Create your playlists, aim for 15-20 songs
  3. Do not connect your playlists to Musingo until you have finalised them. They cannot be updated on our website
  4. We also have a small selection of Musingo-created playlists for you to choose from

CONNECT YOUR SPOTIFY ACCOUNT

  1. Once logged into Musingo, click on the ‘Spotify’ tab on the top menu 
  2. Now log into your Spotify account

CONNECT YOUR PLAYLISTS

  1. Click on the ‘Rounds’ tab on the top menu
  2. Click the ‘Create a New Round’ tab
  3. Click on the ‘Add Playlist’ tab
  4. Choose the playlists on Spotify or Youtube you want for your Musingo game

CREATE YOUR MUSINGO ROUNDS

  1. Complete the ‘Round Name’ line with the name of your bingo round
  2. Select its playlist by clicking once
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the ‘Add round’ button 
  4. Repeat until you have created all of your bingo rounds

CREATE A THEME FOR YOUR BINGO GAME (OPTIONAL)

  1. Enter your copy in the first two boxes
  2. Upload your landscape Invitation image (optimal size 1920 x 1080 px)
  3. Upload your portrait bingo card image (optimal size 1080 x 1920 px)
  4. Upload your square bingo button image (optimal size 1080 x 1080 px)

INVITE YOUR FRIENDS

  1. Click on your first Musingo Round
  2. Select the ‘Invite Player’ option 
  3. Send this link to your guests, when they open it on their phone it becomes their bingo card

ON THE DAY

CONNECT YOUR MUSINGO PLAYER ON SPOTIFY

  1. Open your Spotify account
  2. On the bottom right hand corner there are 4 buttons
  3. Choose the second on in called Devices
  4. Choose Musingo Player
  5. If Musingo does not show up, it is a Spotify issue, so close it or refresh the page and try again

SHARE YOUR SOUND ON ZOOM

  1. On your Zoom screen, select the ‘Share Screen’ option
  2. Click ‘on the Advanced’ on the right-hand corner 
  3. Click on ‘Music or Computer Sound Only’ and then ‘Share’

DURING THE GAME

  1.  After 1 hour of play Spotify will automatically disconnect
  2. There will be a warning, so when it stops, simply reconnect the ‘Musingo Player’ on Spotify

CHANGE A ROUND

  1. Once you have completed a round, click the ‘Change Round’ button underneath the controls
  2. This should automatically update everyone’s bingo cards
  3. Players can also refresh their bingo card which will update it to the most current game
